Queens was buzzing this past weekend with the sticky sweet stench of sweat and wig glue as Queer performers from across the city converged for the seventh annual Bushwig Festival.

For two full days, drag queens, kings, musicians, and performers of all kind flooded the Knockdown Center in Queens for an epic weekend. Iconic performers like Alaska, Lady Bunny, Shea Coulee, Aja, and the Boulet Brothers were there mixing it with the up and coming legendary children of BK.

Luckily, WUSSY was there to capture all of the lewks!

“I witnessed community and superb talent and amazing looks,” said photographer Akrum Salem from New Orleans. “Almost every performance blew me away; I wish I could do it again this weekend.”
